An early Seamaster model with a thicker case and a very uniquely aged tropical dial.
Model: Seamaster reference 2766-2
Case: 34.5mm wide excluding crown, 42mm tall, 9mm thick, all stainless steel, screw-down case back, signed crown, domed acrylic crystal
Movement: Omega cal. 344, bumper wound automatic, recently serviced
Bracelet/ Strap: Olive green stitched calfskin (vintage Beads of Rice steel bracelet +$225), 18mm lug width
Features: Copper tone tropical dial, raised copper tone dagger/ Arabic hour markers, applied logo, domed crystal, signed crown, screw-down case back, subsidiary seconds, copper tone dauphine handset, circa 1954
Box & Papers: Rare period correct leather box can be added for $295
Condition: In very good all original condition. The dial has aged to a beautiful tropical copper/ tobacco tone. The case is good with no major defects for a watch of this age. There are some smaller scratches in areas and signs of light polishing in the distant past. The movement has been serviced and runs very well when tested.
