The first Grand Seiko model was designed with the idea to manufacture the world's finest wristwatch. With all the component precision, assembly technology, and adjustment techniques of Seiko. This example dates to January 1963 and is in excellent original condition. Launched in 1960, the first Grand Seiko was a major technical leap forward. The new Caliber 3180 was built for reliability and accuracy. It featured the latest Diashock system, hacking seconds, a fine-adjustment regulator, and a barrel hole jewel. Condition: In excellent all original condition. The dial is good with no major defects such as blemishes. There is some patina throughout. The script is sharp and the indices are clean. The case is great with no major scratches or dents and no signs of any polishing. The movement has been cleaned and keeps excellent time on the timegraph. Within +7 seconds per 24-hours.
