1960 Seiko Lord Marvel 14k First Gen
What We Fancy
The Lord Marvel was first introduced in 1958 and had five dial variations up until 1964. This is a Mark Three dial with the logo carved. The carving of the Lord Marvel logo were hand-carved by the same expert craftsmen at the Suwa factory who carved the logos for the First Grand Seiko's. The Mark-Three dial is a "special dial" as indicated by the sun-shaped octagonal logo above the six o'clock, meaning that the index of this watch is made of 18k solid gold and was hand-planted by the watchmaker. This example we have here dates to May 1960 and is fantastic condition.
